How to submit your articles to the LeftHandWorld directory

Each of the links below will open in a new browser window so you will not lose yout place here

1. Sign up for a free account - enter your email address, choose a password (you will use your email and password to login as a member so you can submit articles), enter your First name, Last name and Country, tick the box to agree to our terms and conditions (read them here first) and click the submit button.
   
   Make sure you whitelist (or add to your approved senders list) our domain lefthandworld.com before you ssubmit to make sure you will get the confirmation email we will send you.
   
   
2. After you click the Submit button, you will see a page telling you your confirmation email has been sent. Check you email inbox for an email with the subject "User Activation Link From Left Hand World" and click on the link in it to activate your account
   
   
3. Login to the LeftHandWorld directory using the email and password you registered with. You can then edit your member profile to update the details that only LeftHandeWorld admin staff will see and, more importantly, Add a Pen Name so you can include all the information you want the people who read your article to be able to see - this may include a photo of you or other image, your web site and blog addresses and a short biography giving details about yourself. You can enter multiple pen names and public profiles if you want so you can choose the appropriate one to put in different types of articles or articles on different subjects - you profile can demonstrate any expertise, knowledge or credibility with regard to the subject you are writing about.
   
   
4. Click on the Submit Articles link and enter the details and content for your article
   
   Choose the best Pen Name for this article if you have set up more than one
   
   Choose the most appropriate category for your article from the drop-down list. If you think we need to add a new category, choose "Miscellaneous" and tell us the new category you want in the sumary area (all articles submitted are reviewed manually).
   
   Enter a title, summary and the body of your article following the instructions on screen. Make sure you do not put any html or hyperlink code into the main body of your article or it will be rejected - you can put your links in the resource box. Also, make sure you have spell-checked all parts of your article before submission.
   
   Complete you details and any recommended resources and links in the resource Box. Enter any web addresses as ther full url in the format http://www,yourwebsite.com and they will automatically be formatted at clickable hyperlinks when the article is published.
   
   Lastly, enter any keywords relevant to your article. These will be used by visitors to the site using the search box to find relevant articles and also form part of the web page header for your article that may be indexed by search engines and bring visitors direct to your article from a web search result.
   
   Preview your article by clicking the button at bottom left of the screen to make sure it looks the way you want it to. NOTE - the preview screen does not format web addresses as hyperlinks - just make sure the address is shown correctly and starts with http:// and it will format properly when it is published after review. If there is any problem, you can always come back and edit the article and any of the resources later.
   
   Once you are happy, click on the Submit button and you will see your article listed as waiting for review
   
   
5. We normally review all new arrticles within 2-3 working days and if it is not accepted for any reason you will be sent an email informing you of why and asking you to edit and resubmit the article. Otherwise, it will just appear in the directory and everyone who has asked for email notification of new articles in that category or has an RSS feed will be advised that it is there
   
   
6. If you want to be notified yourself when new articles (or your own) are posted in any category, click on the Ezine Notifications link and tick the boxes for the categories you want and whether you want a weekly notification or to be notified of all new articles as they are approved in real time (use the same email address as your author login). Once you have entered the email address and name you want to be notified at, you will be sent a confirmation email with the subject "Activation Link for Ezine Notification From Left Hand World" and you need to click on the link in it to confirm your email address. When you click it, you will see a screen confirming that it has been set up for you.
   
   
7. When your article is approved (or articles from other people in your chosen categories are approved), you will get an email giving you a link to the article. The email also contains an unsubscribe link if you want to remove yourself from all ezine notifications.
